This year's Brands Britannia event was held on Monday, where you had a free choice of being boiled, baked or fried in the strong sun.
12 buses were in attendance (5 current and 1 preserved Arriva, 1 current Go-Coach, 1 preserved Maidstone, 3 preserved London and a preserved Jersey), and five (four current Arriva and one preserved) stayed until the very end to take part in the parade lap.
The sun was such that good photos were hard to come by, with heavy shadows or reflections all round, but here are a few of the day's events.
Earlier on in the day, Maidstone Corporation 26 YKO and Go-Coach MX22 LFZ in the display area, then likewise Arriva 4144 and preserved 3814. Special blinds were carried by those Arriva vehicles that could, as seen on 4144 here.
The buses were at the end of the parade lap, and thanks to some negotiation by the Arriva coordinator for the day the buses were lined up on the starting grid, with 3814, 4144 and T25 in view, then 4310 and 4346 a little more visible back on "proper ground". 6528 was also in attendance, but could not partake in the parade owing to a footbridge-caused height restriction.
