Mention of the Centaur commuter runs from Kent to London reminds me that back in near mid-summer the urge took me to try to photograph some of the morning runs. Living 5 minutes from one of the stops, it ought to be easy but the stops away from bus routes are not marked and you have to get up early ...
Anyway here are three ...
(1) Yutong TC9 YD24 ERZ on the 786B, the middle run (05:47 ex-Paddock Wood) at 06:18 at Broadwater Down West, a few yards from the Kent/East Sussex boundary. 11 July 2024.
(2) Irizar i6 YN67 VDR on the 786C, the last run (06:15 ex-Paddock Wood) in sylvan surroundings: 06:43 - Broadcroft/Broadwater Down - 11 July 2024.
(3) Flagship electric Yutong TCe12 YD73 FRK on the 788B, the last run (06:28 ex-Paddock Wood): 06:58 - Mount Ephraim - 15 July 2024. Most of the Yutongs have LED destination screens but unfortunately none seem to be programmed.
The 786, 788 and 789 (Tonbridge) all start from Paddock Wood where Centaur now have an outstation.
