... or the right and the wrong.

As reported in recent editions of Invicta, Autocar have obtained a number of dual-door Streetlites from London, which are now entering service. Like much of the fleet, they have been re-registered with ACZ plates. Most are in a lighter shade of purple, but ACZ 470 was returned in a darker shade. It is seen here having completed the turn at Tonbridge Castle, pausing in advance of its next journey.

What's so special about a rear-end view of a standard Arriva-liveried Streetlite? Former Diamond 4346 is the first "local" vehicle to be painted in the new shade of Arriva blue, which, as you may be able to see (or not) from the picture, is bordering on imperceptibly different from the old one, although it is more so to the "naked eye". This also shows the revised positioning in use for legal lettering on repaints, where the decision has been taken to place it behind the rear window, rather than on the skirt panel, where it is less likely to be damaged or obscured.

There have been difficulties sourcing the existing shade, and it is also known to fade quite badly in some cases, and the new shade should solve both of those issues.
