The latest Heritage livery for Arriva Southern Counties was unveiled at the Amersham & District Running Day in Watford yesterday, consisting of E200 MMC 4106 in traditional Green Line livery, including retro-style "roof board" branding for the current route.
As with other examples in recent years, the project has been led and executed by local staff, at least one of whom is a Club member. The Secretarial camera doesn't really do it justice in the weak sun or pouring rain, but as a former Kent vehicle, there is a good case for including a picture of it in a future issue of Invicta, if anyone wishes to travel "north of the Thames" in the next couple of weeks and photograph it in service in a pleasing location.
The pull-up banner, which sadly did not survive some strong gusts of wind mid-afternoon (the Club's similar banner knows all too well...), was advertising an intended new fleet for the route, and revised route branding, joining the "family" of Flightline branded routes as used by other services to Heathrow Airport.
