T933 still with Hams!

A nice suprise in Hawkhurst this morning was Hams Travel of Flimwell A933SYE. I last saw this one 10 years ago! This Leyland B15 Titan that was new to London Transport in Feb 1984 as No.T933 and has been with Hams since 1998.

Does "SORN" cover vehicles that don't need to be taxed due to age?

It is reported elsewhere that the bus was on its way to MOT, which I seem to recall is a legitimate journey regardless of tax status.

That’s correct. As long as you have a pre-booked MoT you can drive an untaxed vehicle to and from it.
