Hi Folks

After having a few hours at the transport museum at Dover today which i found very interesting all topic's,i took a
free bus to the town centre then walked to the Eastern Dock's.

Noted on Rail Replacement was a Enviro 400 Wright bodied
double decker (Demostrator) in Blue/Silver livery reg no
SN56 AWW coming down Jubliee Way,sometime
afterwards i was told it was on hire to Travelmaster's,Sheerness for the day !!! returning it back tomorrow (Mon) i didnt get a photograph of it due to hundreds of lorries coming out of the port, plus on the wrong side of the road.

Hope this is some intrest to someone.

Regards
Michel Crisp

It's been sat spare all evening at Sittingbourne. Also out are
Eastonways M247, E913DRD and Chalkwells Oly VIB5241. There is also a
Chalkwells Dart and a selection of their coaches on the Canterbury
route. Neil.

Just to correct this thread, SN56 AWW is an Alexander
Dennis Enviro 400 with Alexander bodywork, not Wright.

Matt

Hi Michael,
Sorry, was this an Enviro 400 bodied bus or a Wright bodied bus? They are two different bodies that you mentioned.

Thanks.
Graham.

Thanks. You just answered my question.
I was a bit behind on my emails and you had already answered it for me.

Hi Graham

When i saw this Demo coming down Jubliee Way,Dover I am
more than 100% it was a Wright Eclipse bodied decker then standard Enviro 400 which are in the Stagecoach fleets as there was a large of influx of lorries coming of the port,i was aiming for the reg only !!!  It was in Malatic Blue/Silver livery.

Regards
Michel

Hi Matthew

I am more than certain its a Wright body than a Enviro
400 design pity i didnt get a shot of it.

Hi Neil

This decker we both saw yesterday am i right in saying
SN56 AWW is a Wright bodied AD Trident old terms
Enviro 400 chassis just to sort a few things out on group.

Sorry Michel but you are mistaken. The 2 body types do
have similarities but there are 3 clues:

1. The Scottish registration is in the Alexander
Dennis demonstrator series.
2. Alexander Dennis have not yet released the chassis
to be bodied by anyone other than themselves for the
UK market.
3. Enviro 400 is a body style; the chassis is a
Trident. Wrightbus have never bodied a Trident.

Gentleman,
Yes the Wright group do not body any Alexander Dennis products, but Alexander Dennis do allow East Lancs to body their single Decker's ELC Esteem (I am talking ADL's E300 equivalent) and on double Decker's. One DD with Olympus bodywork is due soon on their trident chassis for Hackney Community Transport.

Regards.

Graham.
