Saw this blue Dart alongside the road at Manston Airport this evening - I had Y837 TGH with the Danny Gallivan Trust, South Godstone, which shows as SORN.

Does anyone known anything about this?

I don’t think I’ve seen it mentioned anywhere else before.

When I drove through Manston on Saturday 20th I looked out for that Dart Y837TGH but I could not see any sign of it, however following a tip off from Phill and Mick, I did find a Rare 26 year old Jonkheere Mistral Coach R3BNM parked on the road in Manston Business Park, that had been a Non PCV "Band Coach" for most of its life but now appears to be a mobile home, and is Rare due to being "Full Height" and one of just 12? sold to the UK in this specification so I'm told.
While driving through Pysons Road Industrial Estate I also found another now rare Non PCV, Caetano Optimo Midi-Coach YAZ6441 which is parked behind "Thanet Comercials" and now in use with "TopRizz Radio" as a Semi Mobile Radio Station, and is one of those Coach types that were once so common, (I can recall Eastonways Buses and many other operators in our Area running them), but are now rarely seen.

Interestingly, YAZ6441 was bought brand new by a local Kent operator. Originally new to Warrens of Tenterden as P170ANR in 8/1996.

Sorry you didn’t find the Dart - I’d be intrigued to know more about it myself.

It was parked by the road “across the airport” between the 4-way junction and the airport terminal buildings, but may well have gone by now.  I saw it on 11th April, on the way from a funeral to a wake and then back home, in someone else’s transport, as I no longer have a car.  That’s also the reason I’ve not seen R3 BNM, although YAZ 6441 has been at Pysons Road for some time.

Thanks for the photos.

While in the Thanet on Nov 9th, I saw that YAZ6441 and R3BNM have both moved on though I don't know where they've gone, however I did drive through Manston where I found some different Non PCV's.
The pair I found include that Dart Y837TGH that David first spotted in April, which is still being used by the
Danny Gallivan Trust: https://dgtrust.org.uk/, as a mobile Veterans Support Bus and appears to be named James Flint, and Y837TGH shares the yard with a 1983 MCW Metrobus B178WUL, both of which are being adapted for use by Veterans so I was told, with B178WUL having previously supported the Homeless in East Sussex: http://www.flickr.com/photos/77145939@N08/52348433486/.
All 4 of these of these shots were taken with full verbal permission, and a Thank You to the yard's owners, the vehicle's owners and all of the staff of the N.A.A.F.I/RAF Manston History Museum: http://www.rafmanston.co.uk/, who all gave permision and are happy for the shots to be published.
