The upcoming Invicta, which should be rattling your letterboxes this week, contains reference to the Canterbury Park & Ride services now displaying the "P" numbers, which had previously been for internal use only, on the destination blinds.

I had originally intended to capture one service at the "outer" end, but as further photos to come will suggest I found a better offer, so St George's Lane it is. Here's "one of each" on Saturday 20th, with 26358 on the P3, and a combined 26356 on P2 and 48213 on P1.

We'd welcome reports if the "P4" number is shown for journeys which run after the end of the usual P3 service when Cricket matches are being played in Canterbury.

I'm not convinced it is - certainly from the rear it wasn't, as I passed one of the P&R MMCs pulling up to the stop by the cricket ground while driving home on Sunday, just after 1800.

The P numbers were not used purely internally. They are shown on the bustimes.org website
