Finzel access?

I see there are eBird reports from Finzel Swamp. Is access the same as before now? No gate? Thanks for an answer.

Hi Tim and others interested,

     I speak from no inside knowledge, and I have little evidence to offer since I only visited once in recent weeks, but the gate is definitely still there. It was open on the morning that I went there and I went in without issue, but I don't know if it is always open or what time they would be opening it up or closing it. I think it is possible to park all the way over at the baseball field parking lot and walk over (not at all convenient). My recommendation is to give it a shot if you find yourself in the area but I wouldn't count on it as my primary destination for a day in Garrett County. 

     Some limited communication with other local birders (of which I am one for a few more weeks) indicates (to me) a similar uncertainty about the status of access as of yet. The official status is described in some detail on TNC's website.
