Jay Sheppard led a field trip at Konterra yesterday evening. The sky was overcast so the owls were out early hunting and put on quite a show until it was too dark to see them.

Gus Mamalis captured some gorgeous pictures of the Short-eared Owls. Take a look in the eBird report: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S41806671

Hi, Marcy:

Thanks for the report!

Could you please share the direction to Konterra field? I see the location in the eBird report, but it seems like a field by the freeway and I am not sure what the best access point is.

Thanks in advance,

Marcy, was there a heads up about the field trip to Konterra? I live close by and am so sorry I missed it! If Jay has another one, would love to go. Gus got amazing photos!

I am responding directly to the individuals asking questions and linking them up with Jay Sheppard. Jay is the only person with permission from the property owner to access the property.
