I just got a text from our fisheries guys. They are on a boat on the Anacostia and looking at a brown pelican at the Navy Yard in SE, DC.

Just asked for better location information.

The brown pelican is currently in the middle of the Anacostia just west of the large navy ship permanently docked at the Yard. The best view is from the park on the north side of the Anacostia.
