Hello Birders:

As many of you know, a Painted Bunting has been observed in Myersville at a feeder in the backyard of a home that is adjacent to a church.  To avoid trespassing, people have been observing the bird by parking in the church lot, standing in the lot, and observing the backyard feeders in the adjacent yard.

For anyone planning to try for the Painted Bunting, note that THE CHURCH AND PARKING LOT ARE IN USE ON SUNDAY FROM 9 to 12.  PLEASE STAY AWAY during that time!

Permission has been given for birders to use the church lot when church services are not going on;  let's be respectful of the graciousness of the church.

Thanks for your update on the forum. I went to the spot near the church around 12:45 PM. I was lucky enough to see the painted bunting and also take a picture. Really beautiful bird. Also talked to the owner Wayne. Very friendly guy.
