Has anyone else watched the new birding documentary, “Listers”? It’s available for free on YouTube. My wife and I watched it last week, and thought that it was flat-out one of the best movies we’ve seen in years.

Just watched "Listers" after Haninah's recommendation.

Agree that it's an awful lot of fun and comments effectively on some of birders' (or listers' anyway) foibles and idiosyncrasies.

And there are some very, very neat photos and (especially) videos along the way.

We definitely recommend watching it.

FWIW, I loved it and have recommended it to non birders for insights into our world. It is profane so if you don’t like cussing you might not like it but I thought the film makers did a great job of highlighting many aspects of our subculture while poking fun at some aspects but also capturing the joy and beauty we celebrate as birders. Many have commented that the wonderful videos of birds especially made it memorable. Not so much for me—wonderful bird videos are all over the interwebs, so those didn’t make it special (though they are great!). I thought their storytelling, editing, humor, presentation of diverse perspectives, irreverence matched by awe made this movie impactful and memorable.

Happy birding, y’all!

Making boats out of bamboo,  plastic sheeting and duct tape, to go see a Least Bittern?  I can't match that level of commitment!
Loved the movie

This hilarious movie has hit big in birding world this year, so for more fun with the Reiser brothers, including hints about their next documentary (for IBWO true believers), check out the episodes on the Life List and ABA podcasts:
