Mississippi Kites at Rockville, MD pool

First sighted May 9 at noon and 3:45 pm, and again at 7:45 am today flying over the parking lot in front of the main pool entrance...same general vicinity as in 2022. Perched more than once on exposed branches right in front of the building, above the main driveway.

Two Mississippi Kites seen today from 8 to 9AM at the swim center, one carrying sticks to a potential nesting site.

I was there this afternoon at the west side of Welsh Park (enter off Manakee Street) and I saw both kites soaring somewhere north of Martins Lane/Nelson Street. Soaring with them were one and then two Swallow-tailed Kites! This was between about 2:50 and about 3:50 pm.
