Woodcocks and cold snap/frozen snow layer - die-off reported in NJ

I've been wondering if the length of cold temperatures plus several inches of compacted frozen snow/sleet would be problematic for them -- and just saw this article about a big die-off at Cape May: https://www.capemaycountyherald.com/news/over-100-american-woodcocks-killed-by-week-long-freeze-in-mass-death-event-e4ac679b

Has anyone been seeing them around (live or dead) in the region? I imagine most people weren't out and about in woodcock habitat this past week given the challenging conditions.
