I've been wondering if the length of cold temperatures plus several inches of compacted frozen snow/sleet would be problematic for them -- and just saw this article about a big die-off at Cape May:

Has anyone been seeing them around (live or dead) in the region? I imagine most people weren't out and about in woodcock habitat this past week given the challenging conditions.
