Fort Smallwood Park Spring Hawkwatch

Everyone,

The official starting date for the Spring hawkwatch at Fort Smallwood Park is March 1, less than two weeks away!  You are invited to come see this spectacle of migration, not only to enjoy the flight, but also to assist with the count.  Last year over 12,000 raptors of 14 different species were observed passing overhead on their northward journey to their breeding grounds.

Please consider visiting and helping us tally the migrants.  You'll also be treated to wintering waterfowl and their migration, along with many passerine species.
