As elsewhere, y'day AM here found many V's of Can Geese flying north, about 10 each with ~ 70 birds. I scanned them carefully in the hopes of a tag-along swan, as sometimes happens. I was rewarded in the last flock but not as I expected - in its midst was a Snow Goose, most unusual here whether aloft or on the ground, and yard bird 128.
Early this AM, ~ midnite, my imsonia was rewarded by the call of swans. Our outdoor m'phone enabled me to hear them thru the closed winddow. We ran to he window and threw up the sash, and got to hear them fade off into the north - not many, judging by the time it took them to pass over.
