Responsible for database management of the subscription fulfillment
system using the Automated Resources Group, Inc. SFS/3000, run on an
HP 3000 main frame host. This includes setup and execution of list
runs and the setup and execution of product fulfillment and subscriber
billing operations, printing of labels and statements, the transfer of
files produced from job runs, the creation and testing of new documents
and system configuration and testing. All systems work is performed
from PCs running Reflections 1 for Windows version 4.21 to connect to
the host which runs the MPE/ix operating system. All printing is done
using the MPE/ix native mode spooler commands. File transfers are made
to the local PC using the WRQ file transfer protocol. Files are then
transferred to the SUN or Stratus systems as needed using Rapid Filer
version 4.12. Other responsibilities include the production of postal
form 3541 for all second class publications prior to mailing and
printer supply inventory and output distribution.
