WJZ's Marty Bass arrested for solicitation and attempted assault on a police officer?

Ok, here's the facts about WJZ's Marty Bass that I read way back in The
Sun (I posted this about a year ago but DCRTV Dave edited almost all of
it out), but now that everyone else is posting crazy stuff about it
again, here goes...... WJZ's Marty Bass got busted by a female
undercover cop in Fells Point's Patterson Park. He attempted to flee
the scene and almost ran over the police officer, and was arrested for
not only solicitation, but attempted assault on a police officer. After
a few days of confusion about the circumstances, Marty claimed he was
doing an in-depth story on Baltimore's prostitution problem and WJZ
management backed him up. The charges were eventually mysteriously
dropped after various news organizations attacked the credibility of
the female police officer suggesting it was entrapment and "she jumped
the gun." Whether that was Jerry Turner's doing, I have no clue, but
obviously somebody big liked Marty. If that were to happen today, he'd
be toast. By the way, Marty's major defense was that he did not say the
words "I want to get some head" as the female police officer quoted him
as saying in the police report, but instead said "I want to get INTO
your head." I remember it well as it was the big joke of my senior high
school year. Everyone was saying it. Funny how kids have a way of
seeing through adult B.S. isn't it? Dave, feel free to delete whatever
