Credible reports from Baltimore County police officers covering the
Worthington Valley area whisper reports of domestic violence at the
Cal Ripkin household. Apparently, Cal has battered his wife Kelly on
numerous occasions yet she refuses to press charges. But it would seem
that she has felt threatened enough that she has call the police
several times.

The print and telecast media could do an investigation and report on
these alleged abuses but the REAL question is: WILL THEY???

After the Monica Lewinsky affair, people turn a deaf ear to abuse of
power in political office. Will we now turn a blind eye to domestic
violence when it involves a very public sports figure and his wife?

No doubt, Cal has accomplished some amazing feats on the field. But
maybe at the expense of his off-the-field antics. Is Cal Ripken a Dr.
Jekyll and Mr. Hyde???

Time will TELL!

Strange, the same credible reports also whisper reports of you
sexually abusing your hamsters.

It must be true; I just offered as much evidence as you did. Why is
the SPCA turning a blind eye to your sexual habits?

Throughout his baseball career Cal Ripken, Jr. has shown that "day-by-day
efforts attain greatness" and "participation itself can bring rewards."
Dedication and commitment are the cornerstones of Cal's baseball success.

He holds countless records for shortstops (both fielding and hitting) and
is about to join the 3,000 hit club, adding to the list of
accomplishments he's amassed in his 20-year major league career.

Born into a baseball family, Cal grew up in Aberdeen, Maryland and was an
All-County and All-State honoree in baseball. In 1978, he was a
second-round selection by the Baltimore Orioles in the Major League
Baseball draft. Two years later, in 1981, he made his major-league debut.
A year later he played his first full big-league season and won the 1982
American League Rookie of the Year Award.

During that season he began a streak that may never be broken: From May
30, 1982 to September 19, 1998, Cal did not miss a major league baseball
game. He played in 2,632 straight games, breaking Lou Gehrig's streak of
2,130 games on the night of September 6, 1995, and became baseball's
"Iron Man."

He wrote in his children's baseball book, Count Me In, "To me, the game
wasn't about breaking a record because I never set out to top Gehrig's
mark. It just happened. It was really about playing the game I love the
only way I know how—trying my best each day."

Cal learned the game from his father, Cal Ripken, Sr., a minor league
catcher and manager of the Baltimore Orioles from 1987 to 1988. Cal Sr.
was also a coach with the Orioles from 1976 to 1986 and 1989 to 1992.

Today, along with his brother Bill, Cal Jr. runs Ripken Baseball, a camp
for those who aspire to be professional players. Participants of the camp
learn the game through methods developed by Cal Sr.

A guy Earl Weever thought would be a great player. Ripkin later broke Lou
Gerrig's consecutive games played record. This all happened in the
Bizarro Baseball World - the same place the troll got his "information."

If the rumors regarding Kelly's behavior in Florida with a certain well-
known movie actor and friend of the Orioles are true, there's more than
one skeleton in that closet, and it's not Cal's.

These rumors -- both of them -- have been circulating for years, and
there have been no credible reports to back either of them up. Now,
surely, the media, which had no scruples about describing the things our
ex-President did with cigars, would not hesitate to publish stories
about the Ripkens if there were any truth to them.

That's funny - I've hear rumors that Kelly has given Cal a black eye
or two herself! Maybe he was just retaliating?!

How will trolls exercise their spelling deficiencies if both Ripkin
and McGuire retire this year?

I know that I am not the only person who heard a WJZ 13 report on 2131 day that Cal Ripken's wife had called the police because of domestic violence. That was the first and only report. I never heard anything close to bad press for Cal Ripken.
