Dear chestnut volunteers,

I am writing to get a headcount for the volunteer event we announced for 10 am on July 22 at the Baltimore Agricultural Center in Cockeysville.    We will be inoculating seedlings with chestnut blight fungus to test their resistance.

We need 8-15 people in total, so we would like to know who is coming in advance.

The job is done in an assembly line fashion.  Some people gather the seedlings, some people make incisions in the stem, then the next people apply the inoculum and seal up the inoculation with tape, then the trees go back to the growing are in random order.

Please let me know at BruJ...@yahoo.com if you plan to join us.  I'm happy to answer any questions if you have any.

THanks very much,

Bruce Levine
