Dear Prof. Fang

I have a question, how does work the parameter isnormalized of mcxlab?
I asked because I simulated two conditions, one of a disk font with 0.5 mm radius e another for 1 mm radius with de parameter isnormalized=1, and the maximum value of the results isn't same. I analyze the flux output.

Thanks

hi Thereza

the normalization formula is described as Eq. 1 in the MCX paper

https://www.osapublishing.org/oe/abstract.cfm?uri=oe-17-22-20178

it does not normalize the solution according to the maximum value, instead, it ensures that the total simulated photon is 1 unit (i.e. a delta function), so that the output is a Green's function.
