Hi, Fang and everybody, how are you?

I'm a student from Brasil and I'm using MCX for my research. I would like to know if there is any way to obtain the diffuse reflectance with MCX the same way MCML does. I tryed some simulations with MCX (with the same modeling Atencio et al. DOI: 10.5772/15853 did with MCML), using the pencil source type, the flags -U 0 -X and scaling the sum of the 2D diffuse reflectance output by 1/N/nrep. However when I change the Lunit, the diffuse reflectance spectra changes (shown in the Figure below) and, no matter the choice of [N, nrep, Lunit], I cannot reproduce the spectra obtaing by Atencio et al.

In the Figure, the y axis is the diffuse reflectance [-], the x axis the wavelength [nm] and the dots (each of them represents one simulation) are labeled by [N = number of photons] [nrep = number of repetitions] [Lunit = voxel edge length].

Thanks in advance,
Victor

hi Victor,

please check out this script my student Shijie Yan wrote to validate MCX's diffuse reflectance output against analytical solution
