Dear professor QianQian Fang,
Hello.
I am one of mcx users, and I have a problem.

I downloaded this mcxlab, tried to run examples, and I always got "invalid mex file ~~mcxlab\mcx.mexw64. cannot find module" error message. So I tried downloading Dependency Walker,
image.png
and this message popped up. But some say that dependency walker sometimes doesn't work right, and their info can be wrong.

I couldn't do anything next, so I downloaded matlab r2024a, downgraded version of 2024b(the first downloaded matlab) and also downloaded mcxlab again to open second mcxlab by r2024a matlab. Same error, invalid mex file~cannot find module.

What should I do? Maybe the laptop's security level can be the problem??

hi Minjee,

I believe the missing dll is vcomp120.dll,  it is part of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for VS.

I have updated the released package to add this new package.

alternatively, you can download either the nightly build

https://mcx.space/nightly/win64/

or github CI build at

https://mcx.space/nightly/github/

they have both included the vcomp dll.
