Dr. Fang,
I'm trying to run the mcxcl but I get this error using windows, see attachment. MCX Studio can detect my gpus and cpu. What can I do to resolve this?

Thank you

did you install the OpenCL cpu driver?

please check out this installation instruction page

I checked that and I have OpenCL.dll for my AMD gpu. Would the AMD driver be the problem? I have it on version 22.19.659.0.

One more comment, I'm able to run my Integrated GPU from my CPU using MCX Studio. However, I cannot run from my discrete GPUs nor from my CPU.

if you click on the GPU button in MCX Studio and did not see
your discrete GPU listed, it is likely that your discrete GPU
driver is not installed properly (or not the latest version).

also try this small utility (clinfo), you should see your discrete
GPU listed if opencl support is installed

I mean MCX Studio can detect the discrete GPUs. I still have the original problem that I posted after going over the website you suggested.

I have tried a lot of ways (install GPU driver, CPU openCL), and I couldn't resolve that error even though my GPUs are detected on MCX Studio.

does clinfo.exe list your device? if yes, can you post the output?

also, please post the output when you type mcxcl -L (or click the GPU button)

what is the model of your GPU? does it support opencl?

I only have Linux and Mac machines with AMD GPUs (and all of them work well with mcxcl),
so I can not test how the AMD opencl support is configured on Windows.

if you do not see the device in the clinfo output, then, you may want to ask in
the AMD opencl forum at

https://community.amd.com/community/devgurus/opencl
