Hell everyone

I tested mcx-0.9.7_1-fermi-win64-cuda4 and mcxlab-0.9.7_1-fermi-win64-cuda4.

My OS is windows 7, and related devices are listed as follows.

Matlab is R2014a. The version of cuda and driver are all 4.0.

But I failed with running the demo_mcxlab_basic.m, which gives
" MCXLAB ERROR -2 in unit mcx_core.cu:984
Error: out of memory "

Should I update the driver or do something others.

On the other hand, it seems some files in mcx\example are missed.
Without them, I can not run examples in the mcx directory.
Where I can find them ?

hi Tuo

the above screen captures are missing. can you re-attach those?

what graphics card did you use? can you list your card info by
running the following command

mcx.exe -L

in a command line window?

for each sub-folder under example/, please find and open
the README.txt file. If any additional files are needed, you
can find detailed instructions in the README.txt on how to
generate those files. For example, the sphbox example need
you to run a matlab script first before running mcx:

http://sourceforge.net/p/mcx/svn/HEAD/tree/mcextreme_cuda/trunk/example/sphbox/README.txt#l13

Hi Dr. Fang

sorry for replying again and again.
In my computer, there are two cards
One is inter HD Graphics 4600
another is NVIDA GeForce 8800 GTX
now I disable the former and run the mcx.exe -L again
It gives

It is indeed a old card ... And I ran the demo_mcxlab_basic.m again, found errors like:

simulation run# 1 ...  kernel complete:   6 ms
retrieving fields ...  MCXLAB ERROR -8 in unit mcx_core.cu:1121
Error: invalid device function

Actually, I tested the mcx on another computer which includes only on card whose info are

In this turn, the error was still

autopilot mode: setting thread number to 1024, block size to 64 and time gates to 10

MCXLAB ERROR -2 in unit mcx_core.cu:984
Error: out of memory

It seems weird ... should I change a newer card ?

Hi everyone

It seems mcx is working well in my computer.
I changed to a GeForce 430 Card and stopped the watch dog of GPU ...
Now I am trying to make the additional files of the examples ...

Thank you for your assistance.

Tuo
