Dear Dr Fang,

I hope this mail find you well.
I just downloaded the newest version of MCXStudio (MCXStudio-macos-arm64-v2025.10). But i couldn't find file mcxstudio.app in MCXStudio folder as README file mentioned.
I am very new to this platform, can you help me regarding this.

Thank you very much.
Tan

hi Tan,

apple silicon (including M2) does not support NVIDIA GPU or CUDA, so we don't build mcx on these processors.

however, you should be able to run mcxcl/mmc on these processors. If you want to try mcxstudio, you may download and unzip the macos-x86-64 package, and see if you can run mcxstudio via Rosseta. if mcxstudio for x86-64 works on your mac, you can perhaps copy/paste all macos_arm64 package content to overwrite the unzipped macos_x86-64 folder, and update mcxcl/mmc with the native versions.
