apple silicon (including M2) does not support NVIDIA GPU or CUDA, so we don't build mcx on these processors.
however, you should be able to run mcxcl/mmc on these processors. If you want to try mcxstudio, you may download and unzip the macos-x86-64 package, and see if you can run mcxstudio via Rosseta. if mcxstudio for x86-64 works on your mac, you can perhaps copy/paste all macos_arm64 package content to overwrite the unzipped macos_x86-64 folder, and update mcxcl/mmc with the native versions.
