Hello Dr. Fang.

I hope you are well. I am having problems running MCXLAB-CL on my MacBook Pro (M5). I have installed the latest versions of both MCXLAB-CL (mcxlabcl-macos-arm64-v2025.10) and iso2mesh (1.9.8). I have placed each of the corresponding folders in my "home" folder and made sure to verify that I was using addpath correctly. I also verified that I am using MATLAB for Apple Silicon (2025b).

Whenever I try to run my script MATLAB doesn't recognize any of the MXCLAB functions:

Am I missing a step to make sure MCXLAB works on my computer?
Thank you for all your help.

Best,

mcxlabcl* package provides mcxlabcl.m instead of mcxlab. you should replace your call as mcxlabcl(cfg)

mcxlab is part of mcxlab-*

Hi Dr. Fang. Thank you for your help, mcxlabcl did run on my laptop. The problem that I now face is that MATLAB states that mcxcwdref and mcxpreview do not recognize input arguments of type struct:

This is strange to me since this is how I've worked with MCX software in the past. Do these scripts also happen to have a different naming convention? Is there a guide I could follow to avoid these issues?

you should download MCXStudio-macos-arm64 and add path to all subfolders inside the unzipped MCXStudio/MATLAB folder. then you should have everything needed.

Hi Dr. Fang,

I was able to solve this problem after adding all the subfolders you mentioned, removing the xattr on all the folders using -d com.apple.quarantine, and also adding a folder with all the MCXLAB functions. Thank you for your help!
