Hello Science Club!
A couple of important reminders:
Our next club wide meeting will be next week Monday, the 25th at 1PM
in room S.2420. We will be covering next year's projects and what you
can do to start one of your own.
Also, make sure to check out celebrating success in sciences. All
Science Students are invited!
Wednesday April 27th Science Building 3rd floor student-common areas
2:30pm Meet and Greet and Poster Session-Research
4:00pm Recognition Ceremony
Special Honor for the Following Students: Students who are graduating
with an A.S. degree in the sciences Transfer students who have
completed science and related courses at MCTC and are transferring out
this year Students who are, or have been, in leadership positions in
the science club, engineering club, or three-legged frog club Students
who participated in the club projects and fairs Students who have
obtained summer research fellowships or internships Work-study
students in the sciences Students who have other special
accomplishments. Come celebrate your success!
Additionally, there is a photo/video shoot this Wednesday. The photo
shoot for the Biotechnology promotional materials will be Wednesday
April 20 from 8AM - noon, but you don't have to be available for the
whole time. Please pass this on to the Science Club or anyone else
you know who could do it as well. We know that they are taking photos
of S3600 and the Tissue Culture lab, S3200, possibly S3400, and they
will also shoot a short video. Please contact Amy Danielson,
amy.da...@minneapolis.edu, if you are interested in helping us
out.
Lastly, we are attending the Minnesota State Zoo (
mnzoo.org) on Monday
May 16th. Finals will be over, and we are going to get a behind the
scenes sneak peek at how the animals are taken care of and what it
takes to be a member of the zoo crew.
