The purpose of this event is to recognize and honor those who represent salsa with excellence, contribute to our beautiful Latin heritage, and who make a real difference everyday in our salsa community. It is time to nominate your favorite salsa, band, DJ, club, instructors,team,etc THANKS and QUE VIVA LA SALSA FOREVER!!
How To Nominate:
Simply send an email to in...@goldensalsaawards.com ,with the name and category of your favorite person, couple, or group you would like to nominate.
Below are all the categories:

The Golden Salsa Awards will take place on Saturday, May 7th At The Hollywood Park Casino 1050 S Prairie Ave, Inglewood, CA 90305. This black-tie event will feature several of the top performances and top D.J.s the West coast has to offer! Pre-sale tickets are $15, tickets at the door will be $20.

Basic Level 7- 8pm
Intermediate 8-9pm
Advanced Level (coming in May) 9-10pm
Cost -
$12 Drop in or $10 per class with purchase of a 5 X Class Card
Description -
This is an all inclusive Dance Class to improve your salsa timing, movement, turns, and overall dancing. It will combine jazz warm up, isolation's, strengthening and stretching, co-ordination & technique drills, as well as salsa footwork and eventually performance choreography.
BRING TO CLASS
Yoga Mat or Towel
Water
Heels and/or Jazz shoes.
Positive Attitude
Good Energy
Readiness to DANCE!

8:45pm Int. Mambo Dance Class - Instructor Dario Gonzalez
10 pm Musical Performance - Bombu Taiko Drummers & Nueva Trova(Latin Sol) with a guests Iliana Rose, Marco Antonio and more!
11 pm Dance shows & Raffle - Salsa Fina & Miyuki
Social dance till after midnight to DJ's Nero, Carlos, Mic & Carlos V.
Here is where the money will be going......If you can NOT make the event and still wish to donate ... PLEASE Donate through Nikkei Federation/SF Japanese American Community Center where funds will go to the US-Japan Council Earthquake Relief Fund which goes DIRECTLY to the Japanese Red Cross.
