We made it through our first week with flying colors. It was a small
week but a week nonetheless. Our biggest concern has been enrollment and
whether we would be able to keep our current class configuration. We
have had some new students join us since school began, and our
enrollment looks strong. I am confident that our number of students on
the tenth day will support our current configurations. If that proves
true, we will not need to reconfigure any classes.

We sent our first parent folder home this Wednesday. The purpose of
these folders is to provide a predictable and secure way for
communication to come from the school to the home. When you review the
information in the folder, please initial it next to the date so your
teacher knows you received and reviewed the folder. We are currently
using temporary folders and will switch to laminated ones soon. Thank
you to the PTA for getting a group of parents to make them. We will
continue to send these folders home every Wednesday. Please sign them
and return them on Thursday.

If the first week is any indication of the rest of the year, we are in
for a knock-out. I hope your family feels the same. Don’t forget the ice
cream social this Friday, August 26 from 6 to 8 pm.

Enjoy the weekend,

Jason
