Two Taxi Stands Installed at Golden Gate Park Music Concourse
Getting to and from Golden Gate Park’s most iconic spots just got easier with last week’s installation of two new taxi stands. Marked with paint and signage, the two stands are located in front of the California Academy of Sciences and de Young Museum and are among several transportation options the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department and San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency are offering to make the park within reach for all. The improvements are based on public feedback gathered through the Golden Gate Park Access and Safety Program, which was tasked with finding solutions that balance the need for safe, car-free spaces with the need for access for everyone.
