FREE Shakespeare in McLaren Park! 

2025 Production of William Shakespeare's: The Two Gentlemen of Verona 

Five FREE performances at the Jerry Garcia Amphitheater  

August 30, 31, September 1,6,7  Starts at 2pm, 90 Minutes, no intermission  

Do you love live theater? Would you like to help support these free shows by volunteering?

Every year volunteers are needed to assist with parking lot duties at the amphitheater. There are a limited number of parking spaces at the amp and the available spaces always fill up but if we have enough helpers, we can guide people to open spots and supervise "drop off and turn arounds" for people with limited mobility. This takes about 5 volunteers for each performance.  We need people from 1pm (when people start arriving) until about 4:30 pm when the last cars leave the area. We will provide some snacks and drinks and our undying appreciation. Please look over the schedule and see what day or days you might be able to help out. RPD staff will be working at each show too. Many people attend these shows from all over the Bay Area and some have never been to McLaren before, we serve as goodwill ambassadors and everyone appreciates the help.  The only downside of helping is that you won't get to see the performance but...since there are 5 shows, maybe you could volunteer at one and come another day to see the show?  Please contact: Linda Litehiser at  linda....@gmail.com or text / call: 415-516-9224 to sign up for a shift.  Many thanks!

Monday Labor Day, September 1st: 1pm training and start--end by 4- 4:30pm

Saturday September 6th: 1pm-training and start--end by 4- 4:30pm

Sunday September 7th: 1pm training and start--end by 4- 4:30pm
