This may be a big ask, but why not! The volunteer workday for July 5th is at 9:30 AM on the morning after the Fourth of July. We met in the main parking lot for the Jerry Garcia Amphitheater (21 John F Shelley Drive) in McLaren Park. We start at 9:30 AM and work until noon. The plan is to work in the Grey Fox Creek area. The large trail project that is nearing completion has cleared some large new areas. We will be weeding and spreading wood chips in areas which we will probably be planting natives into this coming winter. There is also an area that needs wild radish eradication work. If you can't make it on time, there will be a hash trail (flour and chalk) from the parking lot to the worksite. If you have your own favorite gardening gloves, bring them. SF Rec and Park will provide gloves and tools, water and snacks (Arizmendi Bakery). SFH3 will provide more snacks and BEER.

The weather forecast is for Sunny with a high of 65 degrees. This is typical of the day after the Fourth, when one never gets to see the fireworks. It will be windy, so dress in layers. Long sleeves and pants are recommended but not necessary. We don't have a big thicket of Armenian Blackberries to work on this Saturday.

I will provide rides from the Glen Park BART Station to the worksite.  Arrive just before 9:00 AM and find Roger (Muff Daddy).  See you there, it is a great way to get over a hangover. "
