More good news for McLaren Park music fans. The Commissioners sent the new contract extension for Another Planet for additional concerts (for an additional 9 years) to the Consent Calendar by unanimous vote. This generally means it will come up before the full commission on May 21st and is likely to pass.  I have included the full text of the agenda below. The funding will allow for some additional concerts in other locations. Jerry Garcia Amphiteatre was mentioned as one of the potential performance venues. It's one of several other locations but this might be a good time to let the Department know that we would strongly support that idea!  A letter/ email to the Commission and the department might be helpful in showing support.

GOLDEN GATE PARK POLO FIELD CONCERTS – CONTRACT EXTENSION
Discussion and possible action to recommend that the Board of Supervisors approve an extension of the Polo Field Concert Permit (the "Polo Permit"), dated for reference purposes only as of July 1, 2023 by and between the CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO, a municipal corporation (“City” or “Landlord”), acting by and through its Recreation and Park Department (the “Department”), and ANOTHER PLANET ENTERTAINMENT, LLC for an additional 9 years and find that the permit will serve a public purpose. Approval of this proposed action by the Commission is the Approval Action as defined by S.F. Administrative Code Chapter 31.”. (ACTION ITEM)
