From The Hashers--and Bill Murphy
"This Saturday, Saturday, Saturday is our monthly volunteer workday (first Saturday) in McLaren Park. Since JERRY DAY is taking over the Amphitheater Parking Lot, we are moving our meeting place to our old favorite, Yosemite Marsh. Last time that I visited the Marsh, I could see quite a bit of work to do. There will possibly be some Blackberry reshoots to do battle with along with plenty of other invasives to weed. Bring your heavy gloves if you have them, and want to do battle with the Himalayan/Armenian invaders. SF Rec and Park will provide tools and gloves, snacks and water. SFH3 will provide more snacks/beverages and BEER. The weather forecast is for some clouds in the morning clearing to mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60s. Dress in layers, long sleeves and pants are recommended especially if you are planning to work with Blackberry. If you arrive late, look for the group in the marsh area, but if we have moved on I will mark a trail using flour and chalk to the new site. I will also be providing rides from the Glen Park BART Station to the work site.
Date: Saturday August 2, 2025
Time: 9:30 AM until Noon
Place: Yosemite Marsh, Bacon and Harvard Streets, San Francisco
You won’t even have to miss Jerry Day, the Amphitheater is only an 8 minute walk away and the music starts just about the time we finish the BEER"
