Hi, Everyone, We hope that a number of people will be able to join your fellow McLaren Park advocates to talk about issues affecting the park we love.
The McLaren Park Collaborative is an all volunteer run group that shares information via a Google Group and convenes several meeting throughout the year, generally by Zoom.  We are an information clearing house and invite people with various positions and ideas to share them. We invite members of the Rec and Park staff and city government as guests, so they can share with the citizens. THIS IS LIKELY TO BE A VERY FULL MEETING-- WE WILL START RIGHT AT 6PM.  You can sign on early (by 5:45pm)

BACKGROUND: We are not a group that sets policy or takes positions on topics. We believe that the best way to have an open dialog is to give a space to people who then share their views with each other. We strive to build communication with our park staff representatives about park news, plans and upcoming work projects. We have scheduled a one and half hour for this Zoom call. Please use the chat feature in the Zoom to share information as well. We will attempt to record the meeting for later playback--if possible. We can share the Chat information as well.  We do not generally publish detailed minutes but anyone who wishes to take notes is welcome to share them after the meeting.

Agenda:
6pm--Rec and Park presentations: Capital Division on up coming capital projects, Bond meetings etc. We will have a discussion on the scheduled tree removals, work plan and contact information. Including, We plan to include updates from PDA3 manger, Daniel Choi and lead McLaren gardener Laura Giacchetti. The exact time of each topic is not set. We will put aside at least one hour for this portion of the meeting.
7pm--Announcements of upcoming events--(30 (or less) minutes)
 A. Mark Hennen--SF Parks Alliance April 13 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm  Heart Your Parks
B. Other announcements-- volunteer work days etc. (Let us know if you would like to be listed).
C. Other items of concern for future meetings?
D.  Suggestions for the date of next meeting?

Here is the Zoom link.

Apologies!
I won’t be able to participate because I need to attend my  Southeast Commission monthly meeting— also at 6:00PM.
Hope there are good strategies to preserve our trees, please!
