Tree work continues south of Grey Fox Creek, with the removal of dead wood and hazardous trees, pruning of large branches extended over trails, and tree removals that will allow more light into the habitat restoration area around the riparian zone. In order to safely conduct the scheduled tree work near the Amphitheater Parking Lot, the contractor will need to fully close the parking lot during work hours, Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm. When the lot is closed, visitors may park on Shelley Drive, and follow the primary pedestrian path detour to access the Jerry Garcia Amphitheater and trail network beyond. For your own safety, please follow all posted signs and contractor direction. Upon the completion of work and by 3:30pm every weekday, and over the weekends, the Amphitheater Parking Lot gate will be open and three quarters of the parking lot will be available for parking. And the primary pedestrian path and alternate pedestrian path to the south will be available for use. These intermittent parking lot closures will occur between Tuesday 6/19 and Friday 7/5/2024.
