Subject: April Volunteer Workday at McLaren Park
Hello all. Of course, I am late with this post. It’s because Elbert isn’t around to remind me. Here are the details for this Saturday, April 4, 2026.
So, Hashers, Harriettes and Friends, after that wonderful lunacy of the BEER Mile, it's time to get back to the serious battle with invasive plants in John McLaren Park. We will meet in the main parking lot of the Jerry Garcia Amphitheater (21 John F Shelley Dr.) We work from 9:30 AM until Noon. The forecast calls for partly cloudy but warm weather, with a high of 80 degrees and light winds. Dress in layers, include long sleeves and pants. We may run into our old enemy, Armenian Blackberry. SF Rec and Park will provide tools and gloves, water and snacks from Arizmendi Bakery. SFH3 will provide more snacks (blackberries) and BEER. I'm not sure of the exact location or the plan. I will mark a hash trail with chalk and flour to the worksite. I will also provide rides from the Glen Park BART Station to the Amp. Meet Roger(Muff Daddy) at the station at 9:00 if interested. There isn't a r*n involved with this hash, but there are miles of great trails and paths if you want to get a workout after the workday.
RSVP if possible.
On-On!!!!!
