Good morning, everyone. I'm Seth Cohen, from the University of Maryland Medical Center. UMMC is a current Robot user (Robot for 10+ years, replaced APS-1 with APS-2 four years ago) and a McKesson SMO customer. I managed the Robot for six years, starting in October 2003 and ending in September 2009, when I left full-time employment at UMMC for a shorter commute.

I'm currently a staff pharmacist at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland. Holy Cross is a Trinity system hospital and Trinity is not a McKesson customer at all, so I'll only be using McKesson on the occasions where I'm back at UMMC from time to time, in a supplemental capacity.

Having attended the 2008 McKesson UGM and the 2009 Automation Exchange, I knew it would be useful for invitees to have a forum to discuss issues and share knowledge outside the annual event. I asked McKesson to set up something like this group, but it's not something they would directly create or supervise. They do run something similar, but since I'm not on that group or site, it wasn't helpful to me...and I knew that not everyone was involved in what McKesson offered. I didn't have the spare time to manage the group while at UMMC, but I have some spare time at Holy Cross.

I'm a resource for Robot optimization, assuming that you're not asking me about functionality on version 6.X of Connect-Rx. UMMC is still on 5.1 of Connect-Rx, so that limits my ability to help in some ways. I imagine upgrading will happen sometime in 2010, as the contract will expire and renewal on the 5.1 platform doesn't make sense.
