Dear Bing:

I had a meeting with Princess Jacel Kiram and she is pleased to speak at Miriam College on July 27, 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM.  Maybe we can mobilize our classes falling under that time.  She can speak on the topic, "The Sabah Issue:  Humanitarian Challenges and Foreign Policy Concerns".

Cheers,
Rommel

Dear Dr. Rommel, Gigi and Bing,

The topic on Sabah  is one of several issues that Consti teachers have identified  to discuss in our classes. The forum with Princess Jacelll Kiram will be a good  activity that we could require our classes (composed of non_IS students)  to attend.  However, the July 27 schedule of the forum  will be in conflict with their other classes on Saturday.  To accommodate the attendance of more students, is there any possibility to move the talk on a Monday which is  a no class day?

Thanks,
rorie

Hi Mam Rorie,

I undersrtand your concern mam.Having Princess Kiram at Miriam was originally intended for my Saturday class on political analysis. But other faculty members having their Saturday classes also expressed interests to bring their students to benefit from related discussions. Holding it on a Monday will have constraint on my part because of my work at the Philippine Institute for Peace, Violence and Terrorism Research (PIPVTR). But I can justify the Monday event is PIPVTR will be a co-organizer and if Princess Jacel is available.

For your consideration mam.

Truly yours,

Rommel
