I forwarded this message to my class' yahoogroups and some of my classmates have expressed their intentions to give donations.  I was hoping that you guys could organize something in terms of collecting the donations and making sure that we could extend the best assistance we can for Mr. Ganancial or any of our teachers who might be going through the same thing. I'm not sure if you'd agree with this but, Ella Huliganga-Tinawin and I were thinking that our batch could start a foundation that could provide assistance for our teachers and batchmates who might be having a difficult time due to a terminal illness.  (Sabi nga sa commercial, "mahal magkasakit!") Its just a suggestion. 

 

Patricia Centeno forwarded to me the contact info of her aunt who works for the National Kidney Institute.  I am just waiting for Jenn's response to my email so I can coordinate with her how to be able to provide immediate assistance to Mr. Ganacial through Patricia's aunt. I hope there's more we could do to help.

I just picked up the message from friendster the other day and don't really know the details of his condition yet.  But I have sent her a message (through Friendster) asking for her/Mr. Ganacial's contact information - so far, I have not received any response.  I will forward the details to you as soon as I receive them.

 

Pat Centeno also forwarded her aunt's number to me.  She works for the National Kidney Institute and I'm very sure she will be a big help to sir.   

 

The response from my 4-4 class to help has been overwhelming.  I'm very sure alot of our batchmates from the Philippines would be happy to help too.  I hope someone can volunteer to take the lead in collecting the donations. 

 

I will tell Jen to add you on friendster... as soon as I hear from her. :)

I think that it is inherent in us, the Pink Batch, to support our teachers and/or classmates who are in need. As most of us already offered assistance, those of us here in the US can also pool funds to send to his family.

We have $50 (Php 2,300) remaining from our reunion last year.

them to spread the word... now people from other
batches are asking me where they can deposit. Maganda
nga 'yung suggestion ni Jen Mac to create a foundation
for our teachers, so we can be more prepared and
organized in the future, just in case someone needs
our help.

In the meantime though, can someone volunteer to
receive and consolidate all the donations? Is there
such thing as a "batch treasurer," and if there
isn't... maybe we should elect one :)
