Hi,

In our application, we need to send alerts to subscribers who subscribes through a web application as well as through sms. Because the source address is encrypted, I don't think it's possible to pass the mobile number as it is, to the api for MT messages. Help needed to sort out how to pass a number as it is.

Thanks a lot!
Yasith.

I hope this is a subscription based app. So inorder to recieve a message users have to register anyway. You can store the user's address in a database and use it in your web app.

Hi
I also have the same concern. Say my application gathers registration through other means and I want to know if they are
"calling in -- rather USSDing in", then I will need access to the sender number. I can also think of other things, such as using the sender
number saved in a db for other purposes like tele marketing etc.. So How can one get access to the sender number un-encrypted?
I really appreciate the help.

Hi Ashen,

It's not exactly a subscriber based app. It's an on demand application and the users can register using a web application to get an alert. The lifetime of one subscriber expires as soon as he gets the alert. In addition there're another set of numbers, which is application defined and needs to be notified when certain event is triggered. There's no point where the application receives a MO message from these numbers. So I don't think there's a way other than encrypt the numbers when they're saved to the application.

Your help is much appreciated.

Best regards,
Yasith.
