An Internet connection is required the first time you install and license your apps. But, you can use the apps in offline mode with a valid software license. The desktop apps attempt to validate your software licenses every 30 days.

The apps are installed and run on your desktop, just like any other desktop application. The first time you download any individual creative apps, you automatically download Creative Cloud for your desktop. You use the Creative Cloud desktop app to access, download, and update any individual creative apps.

Adobe Content Synchronizer is the underlying technology in Creative Cloud that intelligently syncs your assets, fonts, photos, settings, Adobe Stock assets, and more. These items instantly appear in your workflow wherever you need them and in the right format. With Adobe Content Synchronizer, available exclusively in Creative Cloud, everything you need is always at your fingertips as you move from app to app or device to desktop.

Also, Creative Cloud sharing features let you share files with anyone by letting them view files in a browser. Viewers can turn layers on and off, see relevant metadata, comment, and even download files for editing.

Yes. Your existing Creative Suite product installation is not affected by installing the Creative Cloud product applications. For example, you can install and use the perpetually licensed Photoshop CS6 on the same computer as Photoshop.

You continue to have access to Creative Cloud member free benefits. And, if you saved your work to your computer, you continue to have access to those files on your own device. You no longer have access to the Creative Cloud apps or most of the services that are components of a Creative Cloud membership.

Yes. You can download and install Creative Cloud apps on multiple computers, regardless of the operating system. However, activation is limited to two machines per individual associated with the membership, and you may not use the software on these devices simultaneously.

With Creative Cloud, you have the option of sharing information with Adobe about how you use the Creative Cloud desktop apps. This information lets us give you a more personalized experience and helps us improve the quality and features of products. This option is turned on by default, and the information is associated with your Creative Cloud account. You can change your preference at any time on your account page.

This setting applies to how you use the features within desktop apps, not to the services these desktop apps use, such as Behance. These services are governed by their respective privacy policies and/or the Adobe Privacy Policy.

If administrators install applications via Creative Cloud Packager using Enterprise IDs, the ability to share information with Adobe about using Creative Cloud apps is disabled for the members of Creative Cloud for teams, Creative Cloud for enterprise, and Creative Cloud for education. Admins cannot enable it.

However, if administrators let users install Creative Cloud applications via the Creative Cloud for desktop app using an Adobe account, users can share information about how they use the applications. Users can change these preferences at any time by visiting their account page.

The Creative Cloud website is available in English, Chinese Traditional, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish. Individual desktop apps and services may not be available in all these languages.

Many of the Creative Cloud apps let you export files to the Creative Suite 6 version of that same application. Adobe plans to continue to support the ability to export to CS6 in the applications that already have that capability. New features added to the desktop applications after CS6 may not be supported in the exported file, or by the CS6 application.

Applications not listed here may not support exporting to Creative Suite 6, and may not do so in future releases. New features added to the above list after CS6 may not be supported in the exported file or by the CS6 application.

Yes. Flash Professional CC is now Animate and is still available in Creative Cloud. Flash Professional was renamed Animate, because it offers first-class support for publishing animations in HTML5 and other platforms in addition to Flash and AIR.

Past releases of Flash Professional dating back to CS6 remain available for Creative Cloud members. You can find them under Previous Versions in the Creative Cloud desktop app.

Your Creative Cloud files are stored on your desktop and the Creative Cloud servers. If you cancel or downgrade your paid membership, you still have access to all the files in the Creative Cloud folder on your computer and via the Creative Cloud website.

A free Creative Cloud membership gives you access to file syncing and sharing features and 2 GB of storage space. You also get some free services and access to free trials of the Creative Cloud apps.

I recently had to get my computer re-imaged and after two days, my Adobe Creative Cloud apps are the only ones I still can't get to install. I downloaded the Adobe Creative Cloud app and installed it without issue. However, when I opened it and logged in, I get a message that 8 apps need to be updated. Before the Apps can update, the Creative Cloud app starts updating, and gets as far as 39% before becoming stuck there. I have tried the following to resolve this myself:

I am about to uninstall it and decide that I'm not using any of these apps any longer. Does ANYONE have any ideas how to resolve this that I have not already tried? Isn't there ANYONE at Adobe who can assist me with this?

None of this works it is a everytime occurance when CC wants to update the only responses are uninstall everthing and start over. Or turn off all your internet security settings to allow Adobe complet unfettered acces to your computer. Come on if this was a onetime occurance it would be a diffrent story...THIS IS EVERY UPDATE FOR EVERY APP. WE HAVE TO JUMP THRU HOOPS TO GET TO THE ADOBE SERVER AND YOUR PERSONAL COMPUTER IS THE CULPRIT NOT ADOBE....GET WITH IT ADOBE!!! THERE ARE OTHER APPLICATIONS OUT THERE WITH TRANSPARENT UPDATES WHICH DON'T REQUIRE DAYS OF FIGURING OUT WHY YOU CAN'T TRNASMIT A UPDATE WITHOUT COMPLETE SYSTEM SETTINGS. IT IS ON ADOBE TO MAKE THIER SYSTEM WORK NOT THE CUSTOMER WHO PAID FOR THIS

Is there any other option available? I have 7-8 of these Apps including indesign, dreamweaver and illustrator amongst others installed on my system and only photoshop is stuck at 10%. I cannot spend productive time in erasing all of them and download them again.

Another possibility: Some folks have reported that updating their system's graphics drivers (e.g., NVIDIA or AMD or Intel) to the latest versions fixed the downloading issue... Not sure why, but it's worth trying.

If that doesn't help, then did you see the other option suggested above about getting the direct download links instead? That way you can download & install the main creative tools without using the Creative Cloud Desktop app.

Sorry you are stuck Allende. Mine is also stuck, I can't uninstall my Adobe programs because they want to update to uninstall. I can't update because they get stuck at 39%. So essentially Adobe is now as good as Malware on my computer. Many of us users are extremely pissed and complaining, but the software developers aren't changing the uninstall algorithm to a much simpler version that will work. I'm going to be very careful when installing adobe products from now on.

I was reading all the replies to the problems with adobe. I never once had any of the problems. some anti virus can interact with adobe products and some malware can do the same. the best way to avoid problems is to run a dignostic check. I don't think unstalling and installing works becuase its only good with some of the products depending on how the database is set up. for example, run a diagnostic first with a great anti virus problem than allow the anti virus to check any errors of a adobe problem. even clients can check problems on a computer if scannned properly. lastly, uninstalling a product is fundementally fine, than reinstalling it back is not the only solution. sometimes the solution is having a good enough anti virus that a user underatands because some anti virus detetion systems don't allow software from other companies to interact and actually block the data on the computer! adobe products might be the same. key is to run a digistic check find the actual cause before uninstalling and reinstalling adobe! a lot of the time its not even adobe but other products that cause other problems to make look like its adobe! finally, over the years of using adobe I have no problems do to maintance, running diagnostics, check for errors with windows event viewer, report viewer, with apple u can use itunes to run a diagnostics check! hope this helps!!

I wanted to know what you meant by safe mode, and also "Adobe Support" is an appsolute joke, I was told to use ccc (Creative Cloud Cleaner) which didn't work and then I was also told to mess with the properties which didn't work either and then I download the 2020 Direct link, also did nothing, I love paying 53 bucks a month for something I can't even use. My mom bought this for me for my birthday and now, it is ridiculus how much trouble I have to go to install an update and a edtiting software. If anyone has any luck please reply.

I had been looking to get Adobe XD and so installed it to my surface book 2. Since then I noticed that I had a huge battery drain occurring even when the laptop was in sleep mode! I literally went from 100% down to 76% in the space of a morning without ever even opening the lid of the laptop. Luckily this is a brand new surface book 2 and I could track exactly when the battery drain started happening as I haven't installed much at all yet.

I literally ran the trial of XD while having a coffee and learning session on Sunday and my battery, which typically lasts all day, was in power saving mode after just 3 hours! Given that XD doesn't use the 1050 gpu and nothing else was being used this is insane! Needless to say I uninstalled Creative cloud and XD but, lo and behold the problem persisted. This had me baffled until I found out that un-installing creative cloud does not in fact un-install the drivers and services that were installed with creative cloud. This includes the actual culprit, which is the updating and software verification service. For whatever reason (given that my system is showing relatively low cpu usage) this service was literally draining 1% of my battery every few minutes! Giving a laptop with two batteries an expected life of just 4 hours! Whether in use or not!
