Ihave an apple watch that i forgot my password. It was connected to an old phone so i cant erase the password by using my phone. The factory reset by holding the buttons also is not working on the watch.
How would I go about making a request/bug report for this? Because in the app, it 100% shows an animation of holding the power button down on the watch, and just pressing the cancel button, when talking about a factory reset. A gif of what was described above would go a long way towards helping something as simple as this.
There are 2 ways to factory reset it. I actually did this very recently within the past month or two. I did mine from the Band itself, but you can also do it through the Wyze app if you prefer.
Here are the steps to factory reset the Wyze Band:
I still have and love my band and agree with you that it sure did appear to be a quick way to make money and abandon a decent product.
But I digress.
You can delete and then reinstall the band via the app.
This will delete the prior uploaded photos that you had and provide the preinstalled factory choices.
I have had to delete (remove device) and reinstall multiple times and had to start all from the basic setup.
Hope this helps
(I have however noticed in the last few days the band is no longer holding the connection to receive alerts notifications and connections with Alex on a consistent basis but since the band is basically considered dead by its maker it is probably time to look for a similar type product).
Best of luck and hope this helped
I understand how frustrating Wyze can be.
I love my band but it is starting to disconnect from my phone multiple times through out day now as well.
It is ashamed they did not seriously pursue this item and abandoned it so quickly but yet made remote controlled toy cars.
Hopefully someone else can further assist you.
Sorry I could not.
Best of luck
After a couple of months of having to reset my watch every week. I managed to pinpoint where the problem might be. I tried everything, and no solution worked.
My watch is up to date, I tried disabling google assistant but it didn't work. It seems that whenever I get disconnected from the internet, or if I'm too far away from my phone's bluetooth range, my watch would work fine for a couple of hours and then, just randomly decides to unpair from my phone and asks to be reseted and re-paired. Is SO annoying, I paid a decent amount of money for this piece of paperweight that I have to babysit or otherwise I would have to spend another hour puting up with it's bugs.
Now, there's a couple of other issues after I reset my watch.
While reseting my watch would just fail to link my google account or copy my data from my samsung account, this is random, I have a good internet connection, but my watch would just randomly not link or copy my accounts to my watch. My solution is to skip that step and do it manually after the reset is finished, but it's not as straight forward as it sounds, because it's random too, I just have to keep trying and trying for hours until the wearable app decides to get it together and actually link and/or copy my accounts. Sometimes it links my samsung account but not my google account, sometimes neither.
It also disconnects after a system update.
Again I tried every solution I could find, and no luck, but here I am, asking for your help, because I don't know what else to do.
And I also have the same problem. I hate it so much, I really don't want to reset my watch. It takes a lot of time to reconfigure it from the scratch. I'm seeking for a solution. I have Xiaomi phone. It worked very well earlier but the recent updates of Galaxy plugin and wearable app, everything's a mess....
Keeps happening to me too. Poor considering both devices are Samsung products and are up to date on S/W. It's especially infuriating to lose exercise data from the Health app so I can't track my progress over longer periods of time (essentially the entire reason for me purchasing the smartwatch in the first place). Boo Samsung.
I am a representative but its not something that is needed often. If anyone has trouble with replacement watches saying the plan needs to change there is a new plan code that needs to be applied. Another weird niche thing i found out today
If you decide to give your watch to a family member (how sweet!), or if you just want a fresh start, you should reset the watch. All of your personal data will be removed and the watch will restore back to its default settings, so you won't have to worry about personal info still being on it. You can reset your watch using the Settings or Reboot mode on the watch, or with the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone.
Note: Available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider, software version, phone, or watch. When you reset a LTE watch that has active service, you may need to contact your service provider to reactivate service for the watch again.
Press and hold the Home key to reboot and start the recovery. If you have a Galaxy Watch4, Watch5, or Watch6 series watch, continue to the next step. All other watches will begin the recovery process.
Galaxy watches running Wear OS will display another menu. Swipe down to select Wipe data/factory reset, and then swipe right. Swipe down again to select Factory data reset, and swipe right to perform the reset. When the reset completes, swipe right to reboot the watch.
Garmin Instinct Solar Surf - Watch was fine, plugged in and charged - Then Froze. So, Factory Reset (Hard reset of Power off - hold ABC/SET/GPS - Release GPS after 1ST Beep) Turns on, but will not move past 'Reset default Setting Yes? No?' Selecting Yes reboots watch, but returns back to same screen. No, clears screen then shows 'Reset default Settings..' I can only access the shortcuts menu. But, the phone will pair and receive notifications.. Please Help? Also, usb in to pc - it is not showing, so cant check software. .
I am sorry there is an issue. In theory, you should be able to master reset your watch repeatedly without running into any issues unless there is a serious issue with your watch. If your watch will not allow you to scroll down to highlight Yes then select it with your top right button, you can try a Hard Reset by holding down your top left button until your watch shuts off.
Hi i am having the exact same problem today. initially the set button wouldnt work and the connect android lost pairing so performed a reset by holding the ctrl button for 10s. Powered it back on and atr the same "reset default setting screen" with no doing nothing and yes returning back to the same screen.
It can also be worth trying this tool to see if that can fully boot the device back on, This tool can detect and master reset a device plugged into a computer's USB port, you will need to extract the files and install the tool onto the computer. click and download the file for the needed PC. extract install and run with the device plugged in, and run the tool this should take at most 15 minutes to work.

i was able to get all the way through to the resetting after the second beep but my watch is stuck on the Garmin splash screen for the last 10 minutes. Perhaps it takes a long time to complete the reset.
Same issue here, watch is 2 months old. trying to reset it using Resettool software but it is now stuck on garmin logo screen...
(Owner of Garmin Swim and Garmin Swim 2, no issues with those old models)
If any of the millions of Fitness or Outdoor watches in use worldwide ends up stuck asking for the watch to be master reset - there is a serious issue and the conclusion 99.99% of the time is an exchange will be needed.
Is there a way to reset the stepcounter, maybe by tapping on a specific (programmed) button in the facewatch? When i start a walk i want to reset my stepcount to zero, but i didnt find out how to do that? Would also be cool to have a button in the watchface where is can do that reset.
If restarting your watch didn't help, you can reset the watch back to factory settings. Note that resetting the watch back to factory settings empties all personal data and settings from the watch, and you will need to set it up again for your personal use. All data that you have synced from your watch to your Flow account is safe. You can do the factory reset via FlowSync or from the watch.
