Hello again,
There will be a Community Meeting on Thursday, October 27th at 6:30 pm at the McFerrin Park Community Center to learn more about and discuss the proposed Recycling Center for 511 Foster Street in McFerrin Park.  Representatives from Hermitage Recycling will be present to answer questions.

As some of you may know, Hermitage Recycling is interested in opening a facility at the warehouse/industrial building located at 511 Foster Street in McFerrin Park.  The building is located between the railroad tracks and Ellington Parkway and previously housed a pallet company (I believe it has been vacant since it was damaged in the flood).

If you want to learn a little more about the business, their website is here: http://www.hermitagerecycling.com/ and contact info is below.  Mr. Hassell, whose email is below, is the contact for the business and attended the McFerrin Park meeting where this was previously discussed.

Please note that Councilman Davis has requested that at least one representative from each neighborhood group attend so that you can report back to your neighbors.  If you can go, please let me know directly (no need to tell the whole list).  Scott is relying on us to tell him our opinion about this in order to inform his decision.

It is my understanding that Hermitage Recycling will be going before the Planning Commission in mid-November about the property (I'm not sure about the date at this time).
