Hello McFatter Family,
Please pardon the early message but there are THREE urgent pieces of information that we want you aware of before Monday.
TONIGHT IS RELAY FOR LIFE: The National Honor Society is putting together a Relay for Life team to participate in the event at Plantation Central Park tonight (4/12). This event raises money for cancer research through the American Cancer Society. We welcome students to participate but they have to join the team and raise some money towards the cause. The link to McFatter's team page is http://main.acsevents.org/site/TR/?fr_id=91323&pg=team&team_id=2406109
TOMORROW MORNING IS THE PARENT EXPO “Multiple Pathways to the American Dream”: The three Broward Technical Colleges and high schools are sponsoring a Free Parent Expo (Click the link below for more information) in conjunction with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. Please feel free to share with any family in your school community. The Parent Expo "Pathways to the American Dream" is open to all and may benefit families looking for information on a certain career. The event will be held on Saturday, April 13th from 8:00 am to 11:30 am at the Arthur Ashe, Jr. Campus of Atlantic Technical College. (1701 NW 23 Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311) Interested attendees can still register for this FREE event by going to www.ftlchamber.com/americandream
MONDAY THERE IS A NEW ENTRY GATE FOR THE CAMPUS ON NOVA DRIVE: The road work involving the pipe installation along Nova Drive is beginning this weekend and will take longer than the town originally estimated. Beginning April 15, and lasting until probably April 29, our west gate will be closed and inaccessible. Those of you who enter on the west side of campus will need to enter & exit using the Nova Drive gate that is 100 feet west of our gate and east of College Avenue, and then drive on through to our parking lot. You will be able to drive through the lot to get to the campus. Please plan for delays especially the first few days.
Be on the
lookout on Monday for the regular weekly message. Have a great weekend!
Take care,
Lillie Henry
