Bangalore, Sept 3: PES Institute of
Technology, one of the premier colleges for engineering in the country,
celebrated their first graduation day after receiving the autonomous
accreditation. It was a special and jubilant day for over 800 students from the
2007-2011 batches of PESIT. The students were awarded certificates and medals
amidst huge excitement and joy.
The Chief Guest for the function was Dr. P R
Kumar, Franklin W. Woeltge Professor, University of Illinois, USA. Dr.
Maheshappa, Vice Chancellor, Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum was
the Guest of Honor. The function was presided by Dr. M R Doreswamy, MLC, Founder
& Chairman of PES Institutions who administered the oath to the graduated
students. Dr. K N Balasubramanya Murthy, Principal & Director of PESIT and
Prof. D Jawahar, CEO of PES Institutions were also present during the
ceremony.
Delivering the Graduation Ceremony address, Dr. P R Kumar said “I congratulate the students who have graduated and wish them all success in their career. It is a competitive world today, and therefore you have to struggle hard to excel in your career and life. Have a clear thought about the path to go forward and ensure that you are not distracted at any cost. Overcome all the obstacles and achieve your dreams and ambitions to lead a happy life ahead.” He also congratulated the parents, faculty members and students of PESIT for their dedication and hard work. Moreover he advised the students to imbibe four important guidelines for their journey forward – Be optimistic, flexible, make your job your hobby and make your spouse your best friend.
Dr.H Maheshappa honored the meritorious students with medals. He advised the students to realize their potential and effectively utilize it to build a good career. He also said that being the future of the country, the students should develop their abilities and enhance their capabilities and work hard for the betterment of the society. He also advised that education , training and core competence must be put into best of use. He further added that the effort, determination to succeed and consistency in working will push the students to greater heights and success.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. M R Doreswamy said “We are indeed glad to organize the first graduation ceremony of the autonomous batch. We proudly say that around 800 + students have graduated at this function here. The students have excelled in their academics and I wish all of them a bright future ahead. I am confident that the students will go beyond our expectations in their career too. I’m sure they will be a model and encouragement not only for their juniors here but the entire student community across the nation.”
