Hey Zac,

I wanted to reiterate that even though you're receiving errors during your submission, it should still be going through.  My colleague Tamar see's these, so she'll have to verify.  If anything, you can also email me the file, too, so that you know we've received it.

We're working out the kinks in regards to just submitting certain portions of a specific asset, like animations, so that one doesn't have to worry about everything else.

Josh, if you could, please inform your students that they should not only submit on our site, but email me as well, IF they get errors upon submission, just to be safe.  We're pretty good about responding to any submissions, but just in case for now, emailing us as well is fine.

Thanks for the emails and going through the process on this.  Zac, please email me your files just in case.  Appreciate your time and patience with this.

Sincerely,

there is no current guidelines on submission about it, actually there isn't a guideline to submit animation by itself...
i'm thinking of making a dummy texture just to get the thing submitted through to the website properly. is that wise?

Zac

Did you read the submission guidelines on the Makers site for submitting animations?  What do they say to do?

ok guys, i finally narrowed down all the errors that is getting me down from submitting down to one, which is "i need to submit a texture file for the model"

however i am doing just the animation... is there a way to get round it?

Thanks

Zac

You don’t have to submit anything to me for your production project (theBlu).  As it says in the unit guide, I will be marking by asking the client (wemomedia), not the student.  The type of questions I’ll ask are listed in the unit guide.     Students are welcome to email me supplemental evidence (e.g. “here’s the forum feedback I got / here’s fish I built for theBlu”) and I’ll consider it secondarily, but it’s not required and it’s not as important as what the client says.

It’s VERY IMPORTANT that your theBlu submission has your name and student ID on it, so they can associate it with the questions I send them.  The safest option is to put your first and last name, “Murdoch MCC261”, and your email address, and your student ID in two places:

1.       the notes for your asset, and

2.       your Maker user profile

If your work doesn’t fit theBlu’s standard workflow (e.g. you worked on a texture for an incomplete asset), contact hu...@wemomedia.com and cc me to explain your situation.

I’ll doublecheck with Hugh for any unusual situations, so if he’s up to date, you’re in good shape.

Any last-minute questions, I’ll be available by email all day and phone/text in the afternoon (0422 911 375).

-Josh

Oh, and there is a guideline about submitting animation on the Maker Media website.  ;)
